The way I know the “dark night of the soul” as a storyteller is the moment before the key turns and the lock opens.
Those moments of despair and of regret, of turmoil, of just feeling icky in your human skin, they can be so frustrating and so overwhelming.
And believe me, I have been there on the bottom of the bathroom floor with you.
But I can't help but be reminded that it's in those moments that we find an enormous amount of growth.
